This week has been fun. Yasly has muscles now, I hung out with Jonpaul Douglass on a construction site, took afternoon naps everyday and still managed to get work done.
I think one of the best things about being a designer / web developer is sometimes you end up working on things that you never knew existed. For example, this week I designed a website about a Cajon. It is this crazy drum that you sit on and it makes all sorts of different sounds. I want one now.
Here is the top portion of my design.
The second project I worked on was changing out the header for a previous design that I had done. It is for this construction company that would like to get more business from the government by showing that they support a ‘Cause’. I wish I could explain it a little better, but I myself do not fully understand it. All I know is that they are not Democrat so Obama and FDR had to go!
I also started developing a website for this salon based out of Atlanta, Ga. I have not done a full flash site in a while so it was been a fun / challenging project. It is still in very early development stages with quite a few bugs to be worked out, however, click on the image below and you can get a little taste of where the project is headed. I also made a great amount of progress on the Metal-Bilt website. I have been developing it using Wordpress as the CMS but today, one of the plugins that I modified decided to do a huge update. I installed and everything reverted. Good bye life hours. The site should be up and running soon though.
In about 12 hours, I am going to climbing onto a charter bus to Miami to support my friends Rouse. They have made it to the finals of a Battle of the Bands and what better way to travel than on a bus of 40 people?

I want to be drinking coffee on my front porch with a pack of cigarettes, laughing along side of Andy, Ian, JP and Rod.
I want to be drinking beers with old friends over hog dogs and hamburgers.
I want to be back in Tallahassee, being tapped by Mattox and drinking with the look mexico guys.
I want to be in summer cut-offs and blue water.
I want to be in front of my computer, windows open, listening to good music.
I want to be home with my family.
I want to watch my older (pseudo) brother get married in less than 8 months.
I want to be in an open field with a frisbie.
I want to be in love.
I want to be loved.
I want to have good, honest, laughable fun.
I want to be young and dumb, foolish and risky.
I want to be consistent.
I want to be successful.
I’m going to be all of these.
